My cat hates or gets sick when traveling in a car. How do I make the car ride more pleasant for my kitty?

Here are a couple of suggestions and requirements to help you and your kitty. All cats must be in carriers with bedding that is absorbent for safe travel. A suggestion of using a couple of those puppy pee pads as bedding so you can throw away if they have an accident and replace with ease. Have you cat's last meal be at night and NO breakfast for the morning appointments and/or very light breakfast for those coming in at noontime. A cat can handle stress better on an empty stomach then a full one and it helps you (the owner) have a pleasant car ride too.

How do I make an appointment?

You can make an appointment by email by clicking on our "contact" page or call the shop at 860 822-8383 and leave message. Please be paitent with us as we don't always check the answering machine everyday. If we are able to answer the phone we can make the appointment for you but most of the time especially during the hours of 9am to 5pm we will be busy and can't answer the phone. Please leave a message and the best time to call you so we can return your call to set up an appointment.

What are your prices for grooming my cat?

The prices vary depending on the cat's coat length, type of grooming, and if they require extra time for gentle handing if they are really scared or difficult. The base price is $48 and up again depending on those factors. We offer de-fleaing services and stop by to have nails trim service for $6.00.

DO........

* Bring your kitty in on a regular scheduled basis.

* Have your kitties nails trimmed at least every 6 weeks.

* Communicate your wishes clearly to your groomer to avoid misunderstandings. If you know your favorite blade size let us know.

* Inform your groomer of any medical conditions your kitty may have with documentation.

* Make sure your kitty doesn't have a "large" breakfast the morning of his/her grooming appointment.

DON'T.....

* Bath your kitty between grooming appointments unless you are sure all the tangles are brushed out first.

* Except your groomer to be able to leave not much long hair on a kitty that comes in matted, the more mats the worse the clip down will be. If you can feel 1 or 2 mats there are usually many more.

* Don't forget to inform your groomer of any sensitive areas your kitty might have or any old injuries.

* Don't forget to brush your kitty between grooming appointments if possible.
